The show was made by Brett Merhar. Set in Colorado, it followed closely the daily lifetime of Johnny Jenkins, an innocent 19-year-old school student who must take care of a bitter, smoke smoking grandmother and a rough, sometimes-violent, alcoholic dad, at a somewhat dysfunctional household while his buddy, Clay, is living large with all the payoff cash he obtained out of suing a taco restaurant for private injuries.

The series was designed for television by Merriwether Williams, the head writer for its first four seasons of SpongeBob SquarePants. The series lasted for just seven episodes that aired on the summer of 2003, the final ending on a cliff-hanger. Despite positive to mixed reviews from critics, the series had very low ratings, due to bad marketing and basing the show within an already-unsuccessful property. Showtime cancelled the animated series soon after the previous episode aired. Although the series is currently considered"obscure" and no DVD launch was intended for this, the whole series is lawfully available on iTunes and Amazon.com.
